The AMS Minischool is one of the younger services offered by the Alma Mater Society at UBC. Being in existence for less than a decade, the goal of this service is to provide:
*
a wide range of non-academic learning opportunities,
*
a safe and friendly learning environment,
*
the opportunity for participants to acquire and develop skills and interests,
*
competitively-priced courses to serve members of the campus community, and of the GVRD.
In Minischool, we place great effort in selecting and developping appropriate courses and instructors that will best suit the goals of the program, and enrich the quality of life for all participants. For more information about Minischool courses that were offered during the 2005/2006 academic year, please gor here (http://www.ams.ubc.ca/content.cfm?ID=591).
If you have any suggestions for courses that would cater to people whose interests you feel are not being met, or if you are an instructor looking to share your knowledge and expertise, please contact us and submit your ideas!
We look forward to hearing from you.
